This means proper insulation is crucial—not just for energy efficiency but also for regulating your home’s temperature. If your house was built prior to 1970, there is a good chance that your walls have no insulation. And if your home was built more recently, your insulation has most likely become less effective over time and is due for an upgrade.
Why should my home be insulated?
Too often overlooked is a home’s insulation. In fact, many New England homes don’t even have insulation and, a well insulated home is an energy efficient home.
Using pneumatic equipment, blown-in insulation is typically installed by professional installers. This type of insulation can be used in wall cavities and is also good for unfinished attic floors, irregularly shaped areas and for filling in around obstructions.
