Even if you invest in a great product if it is not installed properly, you run the risk of the product not performing as it should. At Bruin, we believe that the product is only as good as the installers which is why we make sure our installers are properly trained and certified.

What companies do you represent?

Bruin Corporation is proud to offer vinyl siding from CertainTeed or from Mastic. However, being an independent dealer allows Bruin to source and supply any and all types of siding. If it's made, Bruin can get it!

Is my home going to look like it was vinyl sided?

Your home will have a beautiful exterior. The look and quality of vinyl siding is always improving. Our manufacturers have updated the look and quality of vinyl siding to the point that the appearance of vinyl siding looks like real cedar clapboard or real cedar shakes. Most recent improvements in the manufacturing of vinyl siding now includes the most popular colors in longer lengths. With 17' or 20' siding lengths, most faces of a home have 25% - 33% less seams than with traditional, shorter lengths.

Is it expensive?

Not at all. In fact investing in vinyl siding can be one of the smartest investments today's home owner can make. The humid, moist weather conditions found around the metro Boston area are terrible for painting and the more a home is painted, the quicker it will look tired. Only vinyl siding can provide a beautiful finish year in and year out. When you tally the total cost of keeping a home painted, vinyl siding will pay for itself many times over making it one of the wisest decisions a home owner can make.

How long does it take?

All projects are different but the average home takes between one and three weeks to complete.

What’s  the better choice for my home? Vinyl siding or Insulated siding?

The reality is that New Englanders have their heat turned on for almost 6 months a year.  This is 6 months, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week where your walls are sucking your heat to the outside.  Only an insulated vinyl siding can almost 25% additional R-Value to your existing insulation.   Why not contact Bruin today so we can give you a to the penny estimate on all your options.

How does the look of vinyl siding compare to the look of vinyl cement?

If appearances and low maintenance is the desire, nothing compares to a home sided with fiber cement.  It has the appearance, texture and beauty of a wood sided home but with no maintenance.

Which siding is more expensive?

While vinyl siding offers a better value in terms of having a lower cost, a home with fiber cement has a higher resale value.  Call Bruin today to get a to the penny cost on either product and see what meets your needs and budget best.

Does my house need to be stripped of it’s existing siding to install fiber cement?

Yes.  The product installs like lumber and as a result, it must be installed on a smooth surface.  Vinyl siding can be installed over an existing siding most of the time.

What lasts longer—Vinyl Siding or Fiber Cement?

Both products can last a very long time.  Vinyl siding, due to it’s nature can get weathered in time.  Fiber cement and composite trim will truly last a lifetime and can be painted to change the look.

What is more environmentally friendly? Vinyl Siding or Fiber Cement?

Fiber Cement uses very little hydrocarbons in it’s production and as a result, it is considered to be more environmentally friendly than vinyl siding.
